The heavy consumer demand for high performance video equipment combined with digital technology has greatly improved and reduced the cost of the CCTV products and services that we provide. Of all the possible types of electronic security an effective CCTV system will usually provide the best protection from internal as well as external risks.
Typical CCTV Systems are comprised of 1/4" to 1/3" CCD/chip cameras. The resolution can be anywhere from 300 to 480 lines. The higher the resolution the better the image clarity and greater chance for identification and/or prosecution. We recommend color indoor and color by day/black and white by night outdoors, due to better performance in low-light conditions. The camera is combined with a lens, typically in the 3.5mm to 8.0mm range fitted to the shot we are attempting to capture. The cameras are then integrated into a switching/controlling mechanism, either a multiplexer, matrix switcher, and/or Digital Recorder. These units allow multiple cameras to be viewed or recorded from single or multiple locations. The monitors are picked to match the camera's color and clarity with number of cameras and space a major consideration. The final piece is the Digital Video Recorder (DVR). Depending on the size or number of facilities/cameras, we can now provide from 1 to 30 days of retrievable video.
